Hebrews 4:14-16...God's Mercy...

Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

We all need God’s help, everyday in fact. We are all sinners, saved by grace and we have a sinful nature that we alone cannot overcome. We must lean on Christ and His perfection to avoid the pitfalls. Jesus was perfection, tempted in every way that we are today and yet He remained sinless in order to be able to carry our sin to the cross. We do indeed have a High Priest who has paid the ultimate sacrifice for our sins and we have this priest that is fully capable of empathizing with our sin, since He was tempted in every way. Christ knows our thoughts, our situations, our trials, our emotions and our battles that we face each day. He is there for us, to comfort us, to lead and guide us through all that may stand in our way. Be still and know that He is there, pray that His loving hand may be upon you today and give you peace
