Hebrews 12:14-15...Avoid Bitterness...
Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord. See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.
In today’s world life is tough. I am sure that this sentiment has been felt throughout the ages. No matter what century or which civilization you research, you will find unrest and discord, back-bitting and name calling, lies and deceit. These are the tools of the devil and have been around since the fall of man. That is why we must try to avoid them, navigate around them and sometimes just plain ignore them in favor of living in peace and exemplifying the love of Jesus and realizing the grace found in knowing Him as our savior. We cannot afford to allow disagreements or conflicts with our friends and neighbors to grow into roots of bitter discontent. These bitter roots are destructive, not only to our relationship with God but also to our hearts and minds. Extend grace and mercy, even though it is unmerited, exhibit love in all that you say and thank God everyday for His mercy that is bestowed upon each of us.
Blessings,
