John 3:30-31…I am Less and He is More...

He must become greater; I must become less.”The one who comes from above is above all; the one who is from the earth belongs to the earth, and speaks as one from the earth. The one who comes from heaven is above all. 

For the most part I think we have all seen the HE>I symbol. It is a great reminder of our position with God. If we do not exalt Him over ourselves then it becomes difficult to put Him before everything else. God simply must become first and foremost. Today that concept seems to more and more difficult. Many around us have found success and wealth and many of those have also lost their way. One of the pitfalls of success is that before long you start believing that the reason for your success lies within yourself. Your abilities and your strength. Your talents and your personality. Before long the adulation and the thankfulness to God for bestowing these blessings upon you becomes faint and forgotten. Too many have gone down this road and without realizing it become pompous and self-serving. Even to the point that the desires of greed and selfishness become evident. Satan is crafty while plying his trade and when we begin to tip the scales in our favor instead of God’s we lose the correct perspective. God is in control, He is above all and it is our responsibility to acknowledge this with our praise and our thankfulness for the great things He has done through us. From that viewpoint all things are possible when we yield to Him…
