Luke 12:15...Guard Against Greed...
“Then He said to them, ‘Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a man’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.’”
Look around at the world today and you will notice that there is a tremendous drive to obtain the latest and greatest thing, to accumulate a stockpile of material possessions to be put on display. Why? Is the praise and jealousy of our fellow man more important than the adulation of our Heavenly Father? God gives us our every need, he supplies us with our possessions and instructs us to use them to further His kingdom. To share with those in need, to encourage the downtrodden, to love our neighbor as ourselves and to share His love with everyone. If our focus were more on these primary directives we would not have much time to spend thinking about our next acquisition. Be kind, be loving, be generous and compassionate, loving each other with the love of Christ Jesus.
