Acts 5:25...Someone Is Always Watching...
“Then someone came and said, ‘Look! The men you put in jail are standing in the Temple courts teaching the people.’”
It was a tumultuous time, after the ascension of Jesus, for the apostles. They were persecuted and jailed for preaching the gospel of Christ. They were flogged and beaten and even stoned to death, yet they remained faithful and many people came to know Christ as their savior because of their witness. Throughout the Bible many who were proclaiming the Word of God were hated. Even today not so much has changed, as the Christian community is slandered and mocked. Despite the many who push against us or shamefully try to oppose God’s Word, we must remain faithful to spreading the gospel and the love of Jesus Christ. Through our actions, our words and our deeds we can display the love of God and articulate the way of salvation through the forgiveness of sins. This remains our journey, our primary directive, to share Christ with everyone, in all that we do. Remember that someone is always watching how you respond to the world around you.
