1 Corinthians 13:1-3...Love Matters Most...

"If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.”

The order of importance as it relates to things in life and to how we approach each day is often misaligned by most. We tend to place priority to things like knowledge, faith and charity to others, which are good within themselves but fall remarkably short when compared to the ultimate possession that we have been given. That is love. Re-read the passage above and notice that without love all else is futile. Though we may gain the most popular position in our community, gather the most wealth, even give all that we have to the poor, without love we gain nothing. Love truly is the most most important thing.
