Acts 16:30-31...Just As You Are...

“He then brought them out and asked, ‘Sirs what must I do to be saved?’ They replied, ‘Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your house.’”

Again the message of salvation is demonstrated in the simplistic form that it was intended. The requirement to be saved, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is not about wealth, not about ritualistic motions nor making oneself presentable. No matter how hard we may try we will never be able to make ourselves good enough to be presentable to God. It is about a willing heart and faith in Jesus Christ, and His sacrifice. There are no good deeds or charitable acts that will save us, no not one. It is our faith, our belief in Jesus, and this alone that is our salvation. This is also the message that the world needs to hear today. So many are searching and we need to be that light the shines so that hey may find their way to the cross. We need to let them know to come as they are.
