John 21:12-14...Christ is Alive...

Jesus said to them, “Come and have breakfast.” None of the disciples dared ask him, “Who are you?” They knew it was the Lord. Jesus came, took the bread and gave it to them, and did the same with the fish. This was now the third time Jesus appeared to his disciples after he was raised from the dead.

The disciples were still a bit perplexed. Here was Jesus feeding them breakfast and serving them. Yet He was crucified only a couple of days ago. The fulfillment of the promise was starting to sink in and they knew that this message would need to be spread throughout the world. Christ had risen! He had accomplished all that He said would happen and now He had appeared to the disciples three times. After this Jesus gave them instruction and purpose to take care of the saved, the church and the preaching of the gospel. He empowered them to be bold and to stay strong in their faith. Jesus still does this for each of us. He lifts us up when we are down and walks beside us daily. Thank you Lord for the resurrection promise and for the relationship you offer to each of us.
