Luke 24:40-43...Your Future is Bright...

When he had said this, he showed them his hands and feet. And while they still did not believe it because of joy and amazement, he asked them, “Do you have anything here to eat?” They gave him a piece of broiled fish, and he took it and ate it in their presence.

Overcome and amazed the disciples were still trying to wrap their heads around the fact that Jesus had risen from the dead and was here, talking and eating with them. Although they had followed Him while He was teaching and healing this solidified their faith and seared their hearts in full belief of the gospel fulfilled. They could now tell the world about Jesus and His resurrection. They could assure everyone that Jesus was risen and witnessed by many. They had first hand experience in the gospel story. Jesus is Risen! This fact is still the very core of our faith and the promise that Christ has power over the grave for our eternal future. Surely this is worth telling to those around us! Thank you Lord for your power over the grave and for your promise of our future.
