Matthew 7:9-12...Set Your Priorities...
“Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
When the world around us gets busy we tend to loose our focus and forget that our relationship with God is that of His children. All of a sudden we get caught up in the day-to-day worries and concerns of our lives and we suddenly we realize that we have lost touch in our communication with our Heavenly Father. Not good. If we truly believe that family comes first then we must believe that our relationship with God must be foremost in our lives. This priority puts everything else in perspective. It also promotes a healthy relationship with our earthly families, with our friends and even with strangers that we meet. Proper alignment of our priorities will promote spiritual growth and a close relationship with our Father, God.
