Matthew 5:46-48...Love Is the Key...

If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

We live in a very divided country at the present and it seems the many would dive the wedge deeper if possible. If we climb on board with this philosophy we are giving in to the sinful nature of hate and envy. While we may not always agree with those around us, and even sometimes with our closet friends, we must remain faithful to the calling to be more like Christ. To love one another and to show mercy and grace towards those that would persecute us because of our belief. It is easy to love those that love you, requiring very little effort, however we are called to love one another, which will most likely include a few that may detest you. Love overcomes all, forgives all and reigns supremely above all. God is Love...
