Matthew 9:10-12...Live, Love, Show Jesus to Others...
While Jesus was having dinner at Matthew’s house, many tax collectors and sinners came and ate with him and his disciples. When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?” On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.
The Pharisees were not interested in sharing the love nor the gospel of Christ. This would mean that outsiders might be brought into their circle or that they might have to associate themselves with people they thought of lower stature or means. This narrow view of man, God’s creation, forms the basis of many of our troubles. Greed, covetousness, envy and all sorts of evil creeps in when we try to separate and judge men rather than to inquire and interact with them as we have been taught by Jesus. As we walk through our lives there will be many who cross our path only once and therefore we should be the example of Jesus of living in our hearts. Keep in mind that there are always others watching you, expecting you to stumble and waiting to see your reaction. Let the love of God shine through your life.
