Proverbs 24:2 ...How Is Your House?...

"By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures."

A question often asked of those who are in the midst of building a new house or renovating an old one may be “How is the new house coming along?" But maybe it is a question that we should asking about our spiritual house. How is your (spiritual) house coming along? This proverb tells us that wisdom is the way in which the house is built, wisdom through reading and hearing the word of God. Add to that the understanding of the Word and the way in which we are to live. These will build the house, but who wants an empty house? Through knowledge we will be able to fill our spiritual houses with "rare and beautiful treasures." Never stop learning, never stop seeking after more and more knowledge of God's kingdom. Build your house wisely and fill it with beautiful treasures.
