Matthew 23:1-3...Practice What You Preach...

Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples: “The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat.So you must be careful to do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach. 

We have seen it time and again. Those that are in authority telling us what to do and yet they do the opposite, sometimes in direct defiance as if to prove that they are more important or that the rules don’t apply to them. Jesus reminds us that we are still under the instruction of our leaders and that while they may not practice what they preach we are still obligated to stay within the boundaries and not to follow their example. Our story and our witness to the world  is reflected in our day-to-day life. We must be careful to honor God in all that we do, give Him praise for He deserves all our praise and to give Him thanks for all that He provides. Lift up the name of Jesus today with praise, honor and thanks.
