Galatians 1:10...Jesus Triumphs Over Sin...

Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.

Being kind and hospitable, trying to please those around us is good but it is not the ultimate purpose for Christians. We serve Christ and we are to share His gospel message above all. Sometimes that requires calling sin just what it is, sin. Though it seems offensive it is a way to show that God’s love for us is so great that He sent His Son to save us from our sin and to give us forgiveness. The pure message of the risen Savior will triumph any sin. Our calling is to proclaim the Word of God and share this message to the world. Should you find yourself giving up part of the truth of God’s word just to please others or to fit in you should take a step back and realize that this is an opportunity to share, to be firm in the foundation of your faith and offer the hope of Jesus Christ. Not everyone will receive the message, not everyone will understand, yet the gospel remains true. Resist giving in to please others when it means compromising your faith, Jesus is there to help you, just call out His name.
