Matthew 7:3-5...Check your bags here...
“Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.’"
Often we find ourselves in the judgement seat ready to hand down our sentence without first considering how we came to the final conclusion. Snap judgements these are called and we are all guilty of them. From road rage to super market lines to reactions to the current news, we all rush to answers before looking at the greater picture. First we must look inwardly and deal with what we find inside. If not our own discretions will be turned against us and we will loose our effective witness. Look inwardly, clean up what you find, ask forgiveness and seek to express God’s love in all that you do or say.
