Acts 15:30-31...Kind Words Encourage...

"So the men were sent off and went down to Antioch, where they gathered the church together and delivered the letter. The people read it and were glad for its encouraging message.”

Encouragement. Among the many attributes of our Christianity this is one that should be practiced more often. Todays form of communication tends to have a bit of a cutting edge or slander as we hurl barbs at each other in a light hearted manner, not intending any harm. But, we do not control how the message is received, and therein lies the rub. If we work to control our speech, to become more uplifting and encouraging, then we are almost guaranteed that it will be received in the light of which we intend. A morsel of encouragement may be received as an overwhelming flood to the recipient, depending on the need, and with that in mind shouldn’t we seek to encourage someone today? Spread your love to others through the encouragement that you give, lift them up so that they will see Christ in and through you. You will never know how effective your words may be to those that need it most.
