Matthew 3:16-17...Use me Lord...

"As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. And a voice from heaven said, 'This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.’”

Jesus humbled himself to be baptized by John when no baptism was necessary. Jesus was without blemish, without sin and yet He showed us the way by example that we should follow. Humility is a rare trait to find in the public of today’s world. Social media promotes that we elevate ourselves to a point of “look at me” and then delivers the crushing blow of opinion that is often less than favorable. It is a false hope and a false belief that we should be set upon a pedestal by others when we are clearly instructed by God’s Word to humble ourselves. Set out this new year with an attitude to practice sincere humility, giving God all the praise, honor and glory that He deserves.
