Luke 21:39-40...Praying for you today...
"Jesus went out as usual to the Mount of Olives, and his disciples followed him. On reaching the place, he said to them, 'Pray that you will not fall into temptation.’”
Jesus spent much time in prayer. He valued the time alone with God and prayed fervently over those around Him. The word that sticks out most to me in this scripture is “usual”. Praying was a typical thing, a daily occurrence at the very least. Usual, because it was what He was found doing on a regular basis. Jesus also instructed His disciples to pray and to specifically pray that they would not fall into temptation. Each day we are surrounded by evil, much of which we cannot even identify. Therefore we need to pray, humbly, specifically and regularly. Each day we should lift up our thanks and our praise and communicate with God, listening carefully to what He has to impart to each of us.
