Matthew 5:7-10...Peacemakers...

Blessed are the merciful,
    for they will be shown mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart,
    for they will see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers,
    for they will be called children of God.
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
    for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

The world around us seems to be constantly divided. The division, and accompanied hatred, appear to be constantly in the news and on social media. Division is a tool of the devil and it is used to separate the harmony, compassion and love that are traits of the Christian heart and soul. If we read, or see enough of this hatred it tends to seep into our thoughts and then into our lives. Division has always been around and will continue to exist, however we have the opportunity to squash the effects through our speech, our compassion, our mercy and grace. We are the peacemakers and we are called to be the level headed, cool tempered and reasonable people of this planet. God has given us His love, grace and compassion through His Son, Jesus Christ, and we are therefore instructed to share this with others. Find your opportunities to be graceful, understand when compassion is needed and always strive to bring peace in any situation through your words and your actions…
