Mark 14:35-36...Follow God, He Knows the Way...

“Going a little farther, He fell to the ground and prayed that if possible the hour might pass from Him. ‘Abba Father,’ He said, ‘everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.”

Jesus knew the power and might of His Father and He knew that everything was possible for God. We make the mistake, more often than we admit, in failing to trust that God can move mountains, make dry land in the middle of the sea, cause darkness in the middle of the day and so much more. We are trapped by the realization of our limited power and persuasion and forget that in all things, God is our resource. Jesus acknowledged His Father’s power and then humbled himself by yielding to the will of God above His own request. We should make this our prayer, everyday, to yield to the path God sets before us.
