Revelation 5:12-13...Praise and Honor...

“Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise! Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying: ‘To Him that sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!’”

You may recognize these words “Worthy is the Lamb” has been the inspiration of many hymns and worship songs that we sing today. All of our praise and all of our honor should be lifted up to God who saw us in our need and sent His only Son to be sacrificed in order to save us from our sin. Worthy seems to be an inadequate word to describe what is due to Christ our Savior, however it is a word that should be on our hearts and minds daily. “Worthy is the Lamb” should describe how we approach things in life as well. Everything that we labor for, every task that we take on, even the words that we speak, should all have the underlying framework of bringing honor, glory and praise to Christ. It is through Him that all things exist, by Him that all things are accomplished and in Him that we should live our lives daily. Praise and thanks be to our Heavenly Father.
