Proverbs 4:23-25...Matters of the Heart...
Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.
Keep your mouth free of perversity; keep corrupt talk far from your lips.
Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you.
Ever notice how some people always seem to be angry or dissatisfied with their position in life? Unfortunately it is the fallen man, the Adam, the sinful nature that is at the root of this type of behavior. We all possess it, but for many of us we have found forgiveness and salvation and have realized a way to rise above the sinful nature through the grace and mercy of Jesus. We are able to become what God wants us to be, vessels for His service. Guarding your heart is essential and instructions are found in God’s Word. Study about how to show God’s love and how to give to others. Learn each day and apply these lessons in order to grow stronger in your faith.
