Proverbs 27:1...Tomorrow...

“Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring forth.”

Tomorrow is an illusive thing. We cannot quite grasp it yet we spend a great deal of time planning for it and waiting for it to arrive. Instead of focusing most of our attention on what is happening today or accepting and embracing what surrounds us at the moment we choose to allocate more time and energy to looking ahead for something that may not happen at all. We are not promised tomorrow and because of that we should pay close attention to the here and now, today. Be careful to speak well to others, to be charitable, to share the love of Christ and to always be ready to help when given the opportunity. Accepting today keeps us grounded in the reality that tomorrow is always tomorrow.
