Philippians 3:12-14...Moving Forward...

Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Achieving goals is something we deal with all of our lives. Some of these are personal and others are work related. We tend to immerse ourselves in the process until we are within reach of our objective. The same should be said about our goal of becoming like Christ. It is a daily process and requires seeking instruction from God’s Word. It also involves prayer and communication with God, seeking His instruction and direction for our lives. It is not easy and it requires our attention but certainly the path is worth the toil. Understanding that God is in control and that He has a perfect and complete plan for each and everyone is our anchor. His love is all that we need yet He provides so much more everyday.
