Colossians 3:12-14...Forgiven...

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

We live in a world that likes to blame everyone and everything on someone else. From our earliest childhood we blame others for things that we have done. It is a part of our sinful nature to shed blame and to look at others with contempt. These attributes, however, are things that we should distance ourselves from as children of God. We have been forgiven, irregardless of our sin, and given mercy and instructed to forgive others. This may often be difficult but compared to the overwhelming forgiveness that Christ has provided through His death on the cross this should bring a different perspective. Kindness and forgiveness is an attitude that we should wear proudly and it is a great example to the world of the forgiveness that we have received. Smile and be happy, you have been forgiven!

Blessings,
