Exodus 17:1-4...Stop Complaining...

They camped at Rephidim, but there was no water for the people to drink. So they quarreled with Moses and said, “Give us water to drink.”
Moses replied, “Why do you quarrel with me? Why do you put the Lord to the test? ”But the people were thirsty for water there, and they grumbled against Moses. They said, “Why did you bring us up out of Egypt to make us and our children and livestock die of thirst?”
Then Moses cried out to the Lord, “What am I to do with these people? They are almost ready to stone me.”

Even in the time of the Moses people were demanding and greedy. If they found nothing to eat they rose up against Moses and Aaron. If water was not readily available they started complaining and finding every excuse to blame their fate on the fact that they followed Moses into the desert. For generations the Israelites begged God to deliver them from the bondage of the Egyptians and now they were unhappy about the method that God was using to deliver them. When we get our eyes off of the plan that God has for us or forget that He is in control, we will start to grumble and find unhappiness. It is easy to complain about what is going wrong rather to praise God for the pathway He is providing. Pay attention to when you start complaining and find a reason to start praising instead. It makes for a much better mind-set and attitude along the way…
