Genesis 1:27-28...In God's Image...

So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”

God created mankind in His own image. This always touches me, that we look like God, "in the image”. If you are ever in a low point of understanding or downcast because of what is going on around you in life, think about that statement. You are made in the image of God. He did not make us to look like dogs or camels or aardvarks but rather made us to look like Him. Along with this great image God also gave mankind rule over all living creatures until the fall of man. God continues to have His divine hand on creation and is in control of everything. It is that primary fact that we should remember and be thankful for each and every day. Thank you Lord for your eternal promise of caring for us your creation.
