Philippians 2:3-4...Cautious Motivation...

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves,  not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.

What is on my agenda for today? We may ask this question each morning and quickly flash through the items we feel need to be accomplished during the course of the day. That is a good time to stop and examine the motivation for the items on our list. Are we racing to grab the next rung on the ladder or trying  to appease our own ambitions without thought or concern for who stands in our way. This is not the mindset that is of value to the kingdom of God. Rather we should always be aware of how our actions and our motivations affect those around us and we should be cautious to make certain that we elevate others before ourselves. This is how we are instructed to live our lives. We should be conscious of the interest of others and to the value of those surrounding us. Speak kindly, lift up and encourage those that come into contact with you daily.

Blessings,
