Ephesians 6:14-18...Stand Firm In Faith...

Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

One of the best parts of each day is the time that we spend studying the Bible along with prayer and thanksgiving to God. It is a great way to prepare for our day as we venture out into the world that has many pitfalls and traps set for us. We must not be overcome but rather be prepared, knowing the truth and understanding the gospel of peace and how to apply it to every situation. We must be prepared to hold our tongues and to speak with words of encouragement and love so that others may see Christ living in us. There will be attacks and we must be prepared to thwart the flaming arrows and to do so in such a way as to astound those who are hurling them our way. Most of all we must remain in prayer through the day, continuously lifting our request to God, lifting up our brothers and sisters and especially those who need the Lord.
