Genesis 1:3-5...In Control of Everything...

"Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness.God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day.”

The world around us is very good at using the phrase “he said or she said” as a defense for bad behavior. It starts at a very early age. We also hear these phrases as a means to defer blame or as a seed of gossip and slander. We also use these phrases as we are passing along information of importance. We are using them as a means to convey a message. “God said”, is used in the verse above and it conveys the message quite clearly that when God speaks the universe listens as it should since God Himself is the creator of all that exist. We find it hard, and it is, to wrap our small minds around the creator of the universe. Because it is infinite and so complex we are unable to understand how He can control all that we can see let alone all we cannot see. No matter the fact of our limited understanding, God is in control and therefore we should recognize His authority. We should enjoy His splendor and revel in His glory. Thank you Lord for this day and for all you have made for our enjoyment and pleasure.
