Genesis 45:4-7...God's Plan...

Then Joseph said to his brothers, “Come close to me.” When they had done so, he said, “I am your brother Joseph, the one you sold into Egypt! And now, do not be distressed and do not be angry with yourselves for selling me here, because it was to save lives that God sent me ahead of you. For two years now there has been famine in the land, and for the next five years there will be no plowing and reaping. But God sent me ahead of you to preserve for you a remnant on earth and to save your lives by a great deliverance."

Although Joseph’s brothers had wronged him greatly by selling him to the Egyptians as a slave, God had a plan. Joseph had served Pharaoh in prison and after interpreting a dream was elevated to the highest in command of the land of Egypt. This was God’s plan and it was evident to Joseph. God had placed him in command to save his family during the years of famine and to show forgiveness to his brothers for their sins. A great depiction of the love of God for us and how He sent Jesus to forgive us of our sins. From the very beginning of mankind God has had a plan for us. That plan is still in effect today, we need only to listen and hear to understand. His plan is love, forgiveness, mercy and grace and it is at His feet and in His Word that we will find peace. Take time today to thank God for His marvelous plan for our lives.
