Philippians 3:7-9...Priorities...
But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith.
We are constantly badgered by advertisements that claim our happiness and comfort can be found in the newest car or the latest phone or a new house and so on and so on. Our contentment should not be based on the material possessions that we are able to acquire. Instead our greatest possession is found in the unmeasurable worth of our salvation through Jesus Christ. Nothing we currently own, or will ever possess may compare. With this as our standard we should be able to prioritize our lives with a simple formula that is extremely effective. God first, family next and everything else falls in line after that. Keep that in mind...
