Psalm 51:10-12...Renew Your Heart...

"Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

Do not cast me from your presence
or take your Holy Spirit from me.
Restore to me the joy of your salvation
and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.”

In the busyness of our lives we may wake up one morning and suddenly realize that we have managed to drift a little further from our walk with God than we realized. It happens. Even to David while he was King. No one is immune to this occurrence, it happens when we allow other things in our lives to slowly become more important that our relationship to God, our time alone in prayer with Him and our study of His Word. Every relationship needs work and requires time in order to grow. The Psalm above should be our prayer, our desire and our directive. Use it as your prayer today.
