Philippians 2:3...Others > I...

“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interest but each of you to the interest of the others.”

Thinking of others first, now that could change the world! In this “me first”, “I Need” world that we live in, rarely is it the case that others needs come before our own. We allow the world to creep in and change us in that regard, most often without our knowing what it is happening. If we keep in mind the very first of the passage above we will have accomplished much, setting out in everything that we do without selfish ambition. Putting others first is a joy and a blessings that we need to experience daily. Thinking of and praying for those that surround you is a great way to put others first. Charity, support and kindness are also fruits of this kind of heart. If we believe, and wish to portray Christ each day, we must be willing to serve others, to love them and to put their needs above our own. This is the path to true blessings and to true fulfillment, content and happiness.
