John 4:13...Living Water...

“Jesus answered, ’Everyone who drinks this water be thirsty again, but whoever drinks from the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become a spring of water welling up to eternal life,’”

Jesus promised the woman at the well an eternal spring of water, a well that would never run dry. This water is the Holy Spirit, and from this well we draw our strength as Christians, we live assured that we will never go thirsty and we know that our resolve will be replenished day by day from this spring. We have this promise as one of the many assurances that having a personal relationship with Christ affords us. Our spiritual lives need refreshing, much as our bodies need water to live, our spirit needs Christ to survive. Reaching out to God through prayer, daily quiet times and the study of His Word help to refresh our souls and recharge our spirits. This is the eternal well and the spring that Jesus provides, we simply need to draw from His provision.
