Luke 18:13-14...Promote the Right Thing...
“But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’ I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”
It is difficult, at best, in the current world of social media and constant communication to stay humble. So many around us are quick to promote themselves to the top of the viewing cycle and the number of views you have raises you within the social circle. This is not where our focus should be. We are about the work of Christ, sharing His love and promoting grace and mercy without recognition or praise and only for the glory of God. Our focus should always be on helping others and seeking after God’s direction.
