Luke 24:30-32...We Saw Him...
When he was at the table with them, he took bread, gave thanks, broke it and began to give it to them. Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him, and he disappeared from their sight. They asked each other, “Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?”
HE IS RISEN !
Jesus appeared to a group as they traveled along the road to Emmaus. He had shared with them the Scriptures and talked about the events of the past several days as they related to what had been told by the prophets in the past. Then Jesus broke bread with them and allowed them the glorious pleasure of recognizing Him. What a joy it must have been to have suddenly realized that it was the risen savior that was sharing with them. This same excitement should be ours today as we commune with our Lord on a daily basis. It is because He rose from the grave that we are able to live full and enriched lives with the promise of our salvation and our eternal life. The joy that this brings and the satisfaction that fills our hearts should always be something we are ready to share with others. Thank you Lord for your sacrifice for each of us and for your love that knows no end.
