John 20:1-2...He Is RISEN !...

"Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance. So she came running to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one Jesus loved,and said, 'They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we don’t know where they have put him!’”

This week we celebrate our risen Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and His triumphant victory over sin and death. We lift high His name and are thankful for His mercy and grace given so freely to such undeserving sinners. Imagine the thoughts that must have raced through Mary’s mind when she discovered an empty tomb. Without a reference or understanding she must certainly have thought that the legacy of Jesus’ ministry was now lost forever and that all evidence of His existence had been wiped away. Just as these thoughts were starting to swirl in her mind Jesus called out out her name and the comforting words form His lips reassured her heart that He was indeed alive and risen from the grave. Jesus is still speaking to each of us today, still reaching out to assure us that He is there for us, reaching out to draw us into HIs saving grace. Jesus is RISEN, He is ALIVE and He is our SAVIOR!
