1 John 3:1-2...Blessed Beyond Measure...

"See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.”

For thousands of years now we as Christians have taken periodic looks at our lives wondering if we were making a difference for the kingdom of God. In the experience of these reflective moments it is always good to look to these first couple of verses in 1 John and understand how we are very blessed, We are lavished with the love of the Father and how excited we should be to remember that we are indeed children of God! These two facts alone are cause to celebrate each and every day. They are great words to recharge and stir our hearts. And then comes the ultimate promise of being like Christ and seeing Him face-to-face. Mark these verses as a place to visit often, reminding yourself how very special you are to God.
