Genesis 1:3-5...God Said...
"Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness.God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day.”
“God said.” This is one of the fundamental parts of our belief as Christians. God is in control and when He says for something to come into existence or to be formed from nothing, it happens, period. God is the only reason for all creation. Not some happy circumstance or mindless evolution, but rather with supreme design and purpose. God spoke light into existence. He formed the sun, the moon and the stars from nothing and set them in the sky. He separated them from darkness and named them. This was the first day, yes a literal day. Only God would have the power and the ability to create all of this in a single day, but then again it is God we are talking about. We cannot fathom His mighty power but we can experience His loving touch and we can be saved through His mercy and grace, again because He is God and He created it all.
