“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable - if anything is excellent or praiseworthy - think about such things.”

We all know of a person with such a positive attitude that seems to find the good in everything. This is the person and attitude we should desire to obtain. Paul has written to the church, from prison, to admonish them to do the same. To dwell on the positive, to find good in everything and think always of the lovely and admirable things in life. If we let the devil have his way we can find fault in everything and everyone. Just turn on your local news and you will find enough blame and finger-pointing in just five minutes to last a lifetime. Instead we should spend our time encouraging others, lifting each others spirits, being thankful for all that is done on our behalf and sharing our praise and admiration with each others. Think about the positive, dwell on the noble thoughts, give praise to God and keep the devil, with his evil schemes, at bay.
