1 John 1:8-9..."Fess Up and Receive Forgiveness"
If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
Most of the world around us today would rather suffer great loss than to admit wrong. Accepting responsibility has become a rare trait and targeting blame is the new form of communication. Every cycle of news, along with many post in social media, contain some measure of accusation hurled at a party, person, cultural group or just the population at large. The world is trying to blame someone for everything when instead it would be much more productive to simply “fess up” and ask forgiveness from our Heavenly Father. First step in this is realizing that each of us is wrong. No one is without sin, even those of us who have been saved. God knows this, we should know this and we should also know that He stands ready to forgive if we are willing to confess and acknowledge responsibility. Teach the world this special truth...
