James 1:5-8...Wise Up...

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.

Wisdom is a great treasure. It is sought after by kings and paupers alike. Even so, we often forget or ignore that we have a direct path to obtaining wisdom. A promise of receipt if only we might ask and believe in the fact that what we ask will be delivered to us. As Christians we have enjoyed the promise of delivery long before Amazon or Google. Many times we find in the scripture that our request will be fulfilled, abundantly, overflowing, never ceasing and always according to God’s will for our lives. Wisdom is atop that list and is offered generously by simply asking and believing that it will be received. Along with our daily praise we should ask for wisdom to guide us through this troubled world and wisdom to see where we can make a difference.
