2 Peter 1:5-8...Stop, Look, Listen and Hear His Voice...

For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Our lives are busy and moments race by us at the speed of light. Seemingly we do not have time to catch our breath or to have an introspective moment to understand the day that has just passed. If we continue this course we are certain to crash and to succumb to the pressures of this world rather than to bask in the likeness of Christ. We must take time to reflect, to study and to thank God for all that He provides and for all of the guidance that His Word supplies. A quiet time spent alone with God and in prayer whereby we can commune with Him and lift up our prayers and shed our anxieties. When we do this we find the attributes listed above grow in our minds and in our hearts and our walk with God becomes closer each passing day.

Blessings,
