Psalm 23;5-6...The Table is Set...

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever

When a cup is filled to the brim and more liquid is added it will “run over”. So is our provision for the Lord. No matter how full we may be with His lovingkindness and with his grace we are provided yet even more until we spill over so that we might share our abundance with others. This is a continuous thing, a lifelong thing. All the days of my life I will experience His goodness and mercy. This is a promise for those of us who believe and it is followed by the promise of an dwelling for all eternity. God’s provision is for now and for evermore. Praise be to His name!
