Galatians 6:9-10...Step Up and Shine...
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
The trend in today’s world, when someone offends you or crosses you in any way, is retaliation or to push back. People are not looking for ways of doing good, or at least so it seems. I firmly believe that we as Christians can lead the way in this arena. We will not make news headlines or even be recognized in any way for doing good. That is simply not the way of the world, but in reality we are not of the world. Jesus taught us to love others, to lift others up to engage and share the gospel of salvation. If we spend our time studying how, and where, to land our revenge for something we find offensive then we have squandered the opportunity to do good and to display that which lives within us. One of the toughest things that this pandemic has brought is the absence of smiles that are now covered by masks. So we must do even better with our expressions of love, our voices and our acts of goodwill. Let the love of Christ shine through!
