1 Peter 3:8-9...A Blessing Awaits...

“Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble. Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.”

Loving each other is an easy thing to do when everyone is getting along and no one is stirring up trouble. Quite the contrary though when someone is on the attack against you or pushing against everything for which you stand. It is at these times that we have the greatest opportunity to minister to others by being compassionate and administering grace where it may seem impossible. God has given us this gift and has promised us a blessing on top of it all. As Christians we must demonstrate the love of God, the compassion, mercy and grace that has been shown to us through Christ Jesus. Our calling is to be sympathetic and to understand, to love and to forgive as we have been forgiven. Pray that you may be filled with the love of Christ each day to the point of overflowing so that others may see and know Him.

Blessings,
