Hebrews 11:1-3...Reach Out and Listen...
Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.
We are living in very unusual times. We see people scrambling for toilet paper and fighting over who can hoard the most unusual of commodities without a justifiable reason. We hear news outlets acting as if this were the end of times and our leaders asking us to be socially distanced for the good of all around us. We may have to stay away from our friends and family but we have great technology tools such as FaceTime and the telephone itself that allow us to stay in touch. Not too very long ago we used to have to write letters and wait for a response which sometimes took weeks. We have ways to stay in touch and we should use them. Moreover we have been given a time to slow down and to look upward. A time to engage in prayer and to listen to our Heavenly Father as He speaks words of wisdom and instruction. Enjoy this period of back-to-basics and spend more time drawing closer to God.
