Matthew 10:29-31...God is in Control...

Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

Uncertain times will come and certainly we seem to be in the midst of that now. When faced with trials or uncertainties it is God’s Word that we should turn to and listen for answers. Here in Matthew, Jesus assures the apostles of their importance to God and we as Christians share this same value. Not one single bird falls from the sky without the full knowledge of God. That alone is great reassurance but even further Jesus goes on to tells how even the hairs of our head are numbered. God knows the details of our hearts and minds to that degree, every infinite detail. He knows our fears and knows what troubles us and He is there to comfort and console us. Know that God is in control. He has been since He first formed the earth and everything else that we experience. Assurance of this is great comfort and that assurance is found through His Word.
